Structured content is content that is planned and developed to be ready for any interface making the content extremely legible to algorithms. Meanwhile semantic HTML is the visual and ordered components of a webpage put together, based entire on how HTML tags are used determins whether the site is easily readble to humans, algorithms, or both.
Structured content works with semantic HTML by providing clear and concise information so the site remains uncluttered and readable, then with the proper exection of semantic HTML the site is readle to both humans and algorithms.
Its important to have both structured content and semantic HTML in web pages so the each webpage is readble for designers, viewers, and algorithms.
Of each method Jacobs writes about to "banish" or "mitagate" ones inner critic, the one I believe would be most succesful for myself is the method they titled Reassign duty. This method will be the most effective method for myself as I struggle to quiet my inner critic, so moving it elsewhere works best. I have actually been using this method (although I didn't know of this article or tile for it) for a few years already.
McRaney defines hyperbolic discounting as the process of putting things off for later because our brains were developed during a time when far future problems didn't exist. The method McRaney provide that I believe would work best for me, is not trusting future-me to make the right choice, so now-me needs to force future-me to make that right choice.
