Having spent much of my life writing, creating, and designing, the ideal job for me would be game design or game narrative. To be more specific, table top role playing game such as Dungeons and Dragons or Pathfinder are what I have the most experience in designing for, having done so on my own for around 6 years. When it comes to game narrative, whether it be table top games or video games, my experience translates well to both. I have been writing and creating narratives for Dungeons and Dragons games with my friends and for others for around 5 years and understand how to capture a players attention as well as write interesting twists and plot points. Additonally, I have a strong background and understanding of coding and programming which would allow for digital development as well.
As this job incorperates both Dungeons and Dragons game design as well as online digital play, this job fits what I would want. Using skills from both coding and game design, as well as have a bit of influence in game narrative, the lead game designer would allow me to utilize all of my skillsets. Another reason this job would be great is that it would allow me to continue to work with and on a game system I am already extremely familiar with and have been using and building off of for years.
This job would be a great option for me as it would allw for me to focus entirely on one of my skillsets, narrative story telling. As I would be focusing on one aspect, I would be able to best hone my skill and develop better stories and twists. Another reason this job would be great is that it is part of a new game company looking for new talent as well as experienced individuals.
This job is a bit different from the other two listed above, but would still be a great fit for what I want to do. Having a passion for hero shooters such as Overwatch and Paladins, being able to work on one would be really cool. Having a skillset in coding and game design and a good understanding of her shooters, fitting into this role would come naturally and quickly.
