Through the Evolution of the Web reading, I instantly discovered that there was an available browser before NetScape called Mosaic. I also discovered that HTML5 was only recently released in 2008.
Through the How the Web Works reading I learned that all web addresses are changed from their IP address number string to what we type into a search bar through Domain Name Servers.
Through the Intro to HTML reading I learned that although whether one uses single quotes or double quotes is primarily preference, to use a single quote, double quotes must be used and vice versa.
Jason Santa Maria is a "multidisciplinary design and product leader" and has been working at various design and web agencies for over 20 years. Recently they have released a class on skillshare covering the fundamentals of typography in web development. I personally find typograpghy interesting as a main focus of mine is to develop table top games and all table top games require both smart and creative uses of typography, be that on the web or a physical paper.
For the semester project I want to create an initative, action and health tracker for table top role playing games such as Dungeons and Dragons. Initative trackers already exist sure, but none allow for more than a name to applied to a counter. I want to be able to place a name, the health of an enemy, and even some actions for the use of a dungeon master. A secondary objective would be to add a dynamic timeline, so once one character's turn is marked as completed, the next character will be highlighted or emphasized in some way.
